In some ways this is a trick question, as the current thinking is that consumer products don't contain PFOA. This is because PFOA is used in the manufacturing of some products, but is not supposed to remain.
This said, many of these same products also contain chemicals called telemers which may degrade over time and form PFOA in environment. Some industrial fluoropolymer dispersion products. contain PFOA, but are commonly used in heat treated applications that would remove the PFOA from final products prior to their leaving the manufacturing plants. |

The only company that manufactures PFOA in the United States is the DuPont company, though 3M also manufactured the acid up until the year 2002. Worldwide, comapanies that manufacture telemers include DuPont, Clariant GmbH, Daikin Industries and Asahi Glass.
