As little is currently know about how PFOA's are now being found within humans, likewise, little can be determined in regards to how humans can reduce exposure to PFOA.

The EPA has not issued any formal warnings about PFOA or the products, such as Dupont's Teflon, which are manufactured with the use of PFOA. Additionally, as it has not been determined how PFOA affects the human body, making any wholesale recommendations to the world public may not be prudent.
However, the best answer to this question may be to continue to remain informed about PFOA and PFOA exposure. As new information emerges from the scientific community, applying that research to your use of PFOA manufactured goods would be wise.
